Toyota - Interest of Women

TOYOTA MOTOR MANUFACTURING, KENTUCKY

Event: In the Interest of Women: A Forum for the Women of Kentucky
Status: 1998 - Present

Since 1997, Toyota Motor Manufacturing has presented In the Interest of Women: A Forum for the Women of Kentucky. This amazing event features an information and inspiration-loaded program that has provided an average of 1,800 attendees with excellent opportunities for networking and forming business alliances with other women across the Commonwealth. Held back-to-back in Lexington and Louisville, this day-long event—consisting of workshops, keynote speakers and a resource area—is full of wisdom, ideas, challenges and very practical and relevant information.

Featured keynote speakers have included such personalities as Oscar-winning Actress Geena Davis, Grammy winner Wynona Judd, Olympic Gold Medalist Jackie Joyner Kersee and renowned journalist Lisa Ling. Workshop speakers have ranged from international best-selling authors to nationally known physicians, who speak to a wide range of topics that are timely and relevant.

For all but the first year of the conference, we have managed this event. Beginning at the conceptual stage—researching, recommending and booking talent, handling all of the venue, catering, collateral development, registration logistics and all of the publicity for the event. Our PR efforts included press conferences, press releases and pitching the media for articles and onair interviews for Toyota as well as the keynote speakers. We developed advertising campaigns featuring print, broadcast and various guerilla marketing tactics.

Not only did we brand the event with a consistent voice and graphics standards, but as part of the evolution of the Toyota Women’s conference, we re-branded the event to keep it fresh and enticing to current and perspective attendees.

The continued success of this conference has been achieved through a tireless commitment to the “kaizan” process with Toyota – an effort to always make it better. We create milestones, listen to the audiences, stay relevant and look to the future.
