Having been “friendly competitors” for over two decades, Larry Chiles, owner of Jordan-Chiles, Inc. acquired Meridian Communications, owned by Mary Ellen Slone on October 3, 2008. The area’s largest advertising/marketing agency became MERIDIAN-CHILES at the time of acquisition. Jordan-Chiles advertising was co-founded in 1988 by Larry Chiles. The forerunner to Meridian Communications was founded in 1975 by Mary Ellen Slone. MERIDIAN-CHILES is located in the offices of the former Jordan-Chiles, in Fortune Business Centre, off Fortune Drive, in Lexington.

Both former agency names bring unique skills to the joint entity; the former Meridian’s creative, public relations, print supervision and events expertise compliments the former Jordan-Chiles’ long-term and excellent reputation for retail marketing.
